The project was started with plans sent from America, which were almost immediately ignored. The original called for 6-10hp industrial motor. This was changed to a 500cc Bambina with all Bambina running gear. Although this was later scrapped when they bought a Honda motor and complete sub assembly. The chassis was designed by rule of thumb. John Marechal viewed the "no plans" approach in horror especially as when they had a driveable chassis (he couldn't believe it, still doesn't). John then went home and drew them up a beautiful set of plans which was followed (Materials & pocket willing).

The car is fitted with Lexan gull wing doors. The steel spaceframe was be covered with Eurethane foam 25mm thick which was then sprayed with chopped strand fibreglass, finished with resin, sanded and painted. Gear shift is Mirage with a radiator from a Vauxhall Cresta and an Escort heater unit. The car is painted metallic fawn. Roy decided that this was a good time to learn how to spray metallic paint.

A unique feature of the car besides all the others is its instrument cluster. This surrounds a driving computer and consists of tacho, oil pressure, oil temperature, water temperature, battery volts, fuel level. These consist of printed circuit boards with LEDs on edge. When covered with 12mm tinted plastic they look great. These were all designed and built by Darrell.
