While driving home from work one evening Neville spotted the Taipan in a friend's car yard, and, after making a few enquiries, found out that it was available at a reasonable price. After wining and dining Veronica, the car was purchased and work has now begun to make the car more presentable. New upholstery, carpet, paint, and recon work on the engine are all planed for the car with work slowly progressing.

It is planed to obtain another motor, so that the car will still be mobile while work is done to recon the existing motor. Neville loves driving the car, and may be seen most weekends driving around the Wellington area with his 7 year old grandson, who is a real car enthusiast, in the co-drivers seat.
