After seeing this car advertised in a Spare Parts magazine Ken thought it was worth following up as it would make a good project. On the test drive he had so much fun in it the sale was easy. The car was originally built as a kit set by Cooke Brothers in Christchurch. Since that time it has passed through over twenty owners and is still in original condition.

The car is based solely on a shortened VW chassis and reflects the classic early seventies wedge shape that was popular at that time. Designed in the style of a Can Am racer this car comes with weather protection that slides into slots on its Targa roof.

With its twin carburettors it has more go than the average VW. Wide tyres give it a good footprint and the car handles like it is on rails. Ken along with his son David intends to gradually improve the car to get it back to its original state.
