Wendy was not sure how much longer her motorbike would last so she and her son David decided to buy a car that was different to replace it with. One day while they were looking through Trade Me they saw a 7 car for sale. Although they had not set out to buy a 7 it looked like it could be a lot of fun and they had enjoyed watching them race at classic race car days.

The car was purchased from a fellow who had found the chassis lying in somebody's garage. The original chassis had been built in the 1970's and like so many projects that is where it stopped. The gentleman whose name has been forgotten modelled the car on the Fraser, another Auckland based kit car firm, and Neil Fraser was so impressed by the build quality he gave him a job.

When Wendy bought the car it was road legal but it needed some improvements especially after they broke the motor which was replaced with a later version of the same type. The wiring was completely redone as was the dashboard. Since they have finished it the car has been seen regularly at club track days and Motorkhanas.
