Like many of us Don came to a time in his life when he had a bit of spare time on his hands and decided to build a car. The Tover is 
the result of this and like other cars in the club functionality was more important than beauty. The design brief was to drive and go well which is something that Tover does very well and would look great on the movie "Mad Max".
Starting with a Toyata Hilux van chassis and Rover P6 the Tover is an amalgamation of the two with the chassis providing the structural foundation and the Rover the drive train.
Chassis steering front brakes and suspension all come from the Hilux. All parts are standard and off the shelf meaning that it should be easy to repair in the coming years.
Don has had a lot of fun with the car and it has surprised many would be boy races at various traffic light controlled intersections.
