Colin is a computer consultant and salesperson who has always had an interest in racing fast cars.
After many years of go-kart racing he decided that it was time to move up a grade. The opportunity came when he was glancing through a magazine at Manfield and he saw an advertisement by Chevron cars. It 'looked' simple to build and so it began.

The kit cost about $4,700, this included the fibreglass panels, chassis, various aluminium components and no instructions. A Vauxhall Viva was purchased as a donor car for $100-00. The car has been finished with Viva suspension using some Victor parts.

The finished car has been painted a deep blue with some white panels. The dashboard is of black vinyl with Triumph 2000 instruments set in it. These instruments make the dashboard look very attractive and give it a nice period look. Colin is using the car for racing as well as for an everyday streetcar.
